Fallail, Choudhary, Malik new PDP state secretaries

JAMMU, Jul 16: To strengthen and rejuvenate party in Jammu province, president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti today made a reshuffle at state secretary level posts in the party and appointed Fallail Singh, Surinder Choudhary and Abdul Rashid Malik as state secretaries of the PDP.

According to an order issued here today by Mehbooba Mufti, she asked all the newly appointed state secretaries to work in close co-ordination with Thakur Balbir Singh general secretary of the party in the day to day functioning of the party.

While executing reshuffle in the party, PDP president relieved all incumbent state secretaries with immediate effect.

While Fallail Singh has been reappointed as state secretary and incharge press and media at province and state level, two new faces namely Surinder Choudhary and Abdul Rashid Malik have been given the responsibilities of state secretary in the organisational reshuffle.

Surinder Choudhary, a mass base PDP leader from Nowshera segment of Rajouri district and prominent trade union leader of J&K, has been given this important responsibility due to his organisational capabilities. He had lost last assembly elections from Nowshera segment by a narrow margin.

Rafiq Malik is a prominent leader of weaker section and has strong base among people. He had contested last assembly elections from Nagrota assembly segment.
