4 killed, 6 hurt in Reasi mishap

JAMMU, Aug 22: Four persons, including two minors, died while six others were injured when a mini-bus met with an accident Wednesday evening in Mahore area of Reasi district.
Official sources said that the mishap occurred when a minibus, bearing registration number JK20A-5737, on its way from Mahore to Bathoi rolled down in a deep gorge near Mahore area while negotiating a sharp curve.
The driver of the mini-bus identified as Abdul Hamid (40), son of Habib and Mohammed Sajjad (15), son of Mohammed Gazi, both residents of Bathoi died on the spot while out of eight injured passengers, two succumbed to their injuries when they were being shifted to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu.
They were identified as Mohammed Rizwan (13), son of Mohammed Shafi and Nadeem (20), son of Abdul Rashid, both residents of Bathoi.
Other four seriously injured were identified as Mehjoor (24), son of Shams Din, Mohammed Azhar (15), son of Nazir, Mohammed Wasim (13), son of Farooq Ahmed and Naseema Begum (32), wife of Shafi, all residents of Bathoi. Earlier two passengers with minor injuries were discharged after first aid.
