JU Inter- Collegiate TT (M) tourney: MIET defeats GDC Samba in opening tie

JAMMU, Dec 17: MIET defeated GDC Samba by 3-0 in opening tie of the Inter- Collegiate Table Tennis (M) Tournament being organised by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education University of Jammu Gymnaisum Hall here today.

Principal GGM Sc. College Prof. Satinder Singh were the Chief Guest who declared open the tournament. He was introduced with the various team and officials of the institutions and he in his speech encouraged the palyers to play in the healthy and sound way.

The other officals who were present on the occasion were Prof. Karan Singh, Prof. Dhinesh Jasrotai , Prof. Sami, Dr. Vinod Bakshi , Physical Director GGM Sc. College , RAvinder Singh, Mahesh Sharma, Balbir Physical Director GECT , Smt. Neelam Chalotra, Dr. Sonam Angchok, Sh. Romesh Thakur Physical Director Sant Roach Singh College, Ramesh Magotra Sr. T.T coach.

The matches were officiated by Ravish Vaid, Amit Sharma and Sandeep .

MIET beat G.D.C Samba by 3-0.Abhishek Arora beat Anil Sambyal 11-3, 11-5; Sumit Mahajan beat Pankaj Kumar 11-0, 11-3; Kanav Sharma beat Abhinav Samybal 11-4 , 11-5.

ASCOM beat GDC Akhnoor 3-0; Rohit Sood beat Arman Chandan 11-9,11-8; Vikas beat Pankaj Verma 11-1, 11-1; Jaskirat Singh beat Mohit Sharma 11-4,11-4

GCET beat SRS College 3-1; Harpreet Singh beat Ramandeep Singh 11-3,11-9;Samrandeep Singh beat Jatinder Pal 9-11,11-7,11-6; Kanav bali lost to Govardan Singh 8-11,4-11 and Harpreet Singh beat Jatinder Pal 11-1, 11-2.

GDC Udhampur beat GDC Paloura 3-0: Rohit Pal beat Kaushik Gupta 11-6,11-6; Ankit Sharma beat Akshay Bhasin 11-7,11-8; Kumar Tarun beat Anshu Bhat 13-15,11-2,11-4

GDC Hiranagar beat GDC Ramnagar 3-1: Manoj Jasrotia beat Vicky Thakur 11-7, 8-11, 11-9;Atul Sharma lost to Pawan Kumar 11-5,6-11,11-9;Sahil Sharma beat Rampal 12-10,11-9. Atul Sharma beat Vicky Thakur 5-11,11-6,11-9.

MAM College got walkover against Dogra Law College; New Age College got walkover against GDC Thanamandi.
