Restoring post-paid mobiles

Kashmir Times. Dated: 10/16/2019 8:18:41 AM

Dear Editor,
It is good news for people of Kashmir that their communication woes are over to some extent. Their lives had been immensely disrupted by the communication black out. Now the government must live up to its assurance of removing all other restrictions so that normal life can be restored. It is true secessionist illiberal violent movement mainly driven by the neighbouring country is a huge problem. However, at the same time, Kashmiris should have as much freedom, rights and responsibilities as any other Indian citizen.
The government should speedily work towards normalcy by removing all restrictions and working towards strengthening economy and attracting economic investments into this region. A few days ago they removed tourism related travel restrictions. While this is good, much more needs to be done. At the same time, there must be willingness of the local populace to partner in economic growth and not just indulge in a civil strife. It is hoped the Government of India is true to its stated intentions of economic improvement and Kashmiris will remain engaged and work towards improving the economic conditions in that state.
