Comm Secy PWD inaugurates three roads and two bridges in Rajouri

RAJOURI, Dec 5: Commissioner Secretary to Government, Public Works Department, Khurshid Ahmed Shah today inaugurated newly constructed links roads/roads and important bridges in subdivision Sunderbani,Manjakote and Rajouri area.
Chief Engineer PWD Nasir Ahmed Goni,Chief Engineer PMGSY Deshraj Bhagat,Chief Engineer JKPCC, ND Kwaja,SE PWD, PC Tanoch,SE PMGSY, Rajan Mangi, Executive Engineer PWD Rajouri Division Mohd Zubair, Executive Engineer PWD Nowshera Division Parvez Ahmed and other concerned officers from PWD and district administration were present on the occasion.
The Commissioner Secretary to Government PWD inaugurated 03 km link road from kalideh to Baba Narsingh,1.5 Km road from mangal Singh Chowk to Breri,5.5 km kalali to Battian Road,48 mtrs span Irwin khetar Bridge and 32 mtrs span Dawan Bridge Manjakote,the projects have been constructed at an estimated cost of 127 lacs,53 lacs,191.85 lacs,137.37 lacs and 96.67 lacs respectively.It is pertinent to mention here that all these projects were approved under languishing scheme.
Commissioner Secretary to Government PWD also interacted with the public at the site of the inaugurations.
Meanwhile Commissioner Secretary PWD also inspected the progress of work on Dharat Bridge under CRF being constructed by PWD at village Dhadani of Nowshera Sub- division. The concerned officer informed that the bridge has a span of 95 mtrs and is presently at superstructure level.
It was also highlighted that the construction of the bridge would benefit to more than ten thousand souls of the nearby areas. Directions were issued for the early completion of work on the bridge so that the general public can be benefitted.
He also visited Batala Mang Bridge where it was brought into notice that near about 80% work on the bridge stands completed but it's right side could not be completed due to land issue with army. Khurshid assured that he will take up the matter with the concerned authority to resolve the issue at the earliest.
While speaking on the occasions Khurshid said that LG administration is committed to provide better and smooth road connectivity to the general public to ensure the proper economic and social development of the areas.
He added that LG administration will leave no stone unturned to meet the expectations of the people.While addressing the locals he said that the long pending demand of the areas has been met today.
He assured that the department of PWD(R&B)would provide better road connectivity to the common masses and identify the areas where more such such link roads and upgradation of existing roads are required.
